ROUND TRIP BALTIC COUNTRIES FOR FOREIGNERS WILLING TO EXPLORE EUROPE BY BUS
DAY 1: picking up tourists from the airport, check-in at the hotel in Budapest;
DAY 2: breakfast; travel to Zakopane, Poland; en route visit to Wieliczka Mine (one of the oldest salt mines in the world still in operation nowadays, on the UNESCO patrimony list), and Krakow (Wawel Castle and the historical area); overnight lodging in Warsaw area;
DAY 3: breakfast; visit to Warsaw (the old downtown, Krakowskie Przedmieście, the most renown street in Warsaw accommodating some of the most consequential touristic attractions in the city, like the Royal Palace or Potocki Palace, one of the most commanding palaces in Warsaw); travel to Vilnius, Lithuania, for overnight lodging;
DAY 4: breakfast; visit to Vilnius (Historic downtown, Saint Peter and Paul Church, Alexander Nevsky Church, The Cathedral, the point marking the centre of Europe – about 3 hours);
– Visit to the Trakai Castle, on the island of Lake Galve. The foundations of the Castle had been laid down in the XIV Century by Kestutis and that had been completed in 1409. It had been adorned in a glass ceiling, burned bricks and stained glass. It is built in the Gothic style interspersed with Roman features. During summer the Castle turns into a music centre with many shows staged there.
– travel to Riga, overnight lodging in the area;
DAY 5: breakfast; visit to Riga (the Old Walls and the Swedish Gate, the house of black heads, Town Hall Square, Porcelain Museum, Roland Statue), free time; overnight lodging in Riga;
DAY 6: breakfast; travel to Tallinn where we’ll visit the historic downtown, Kadriorg Palace, the famous Viru Street, the Estonian Parliament; overnight lodging in Tallinn;
DAY 7: breakfast; free time or visit to Helsinki: Helsinki Harbor, Uspensky Orthodox Cathedral, the Town Hall, the old downtown; overnight in Tallinn;
DAY 8: breakfast; travel to Kaunas area for overnight lodging there;
DAY 9: breakfast; visit to Kaunas to see the historic downtown, the White Swan – Town Hall Square, the Red Castle; travel to Poland, en route stopover to the Black Madonna; lodging in the Lodz area;
DAY 10: breakfast; travel to Kosice where we’ll visit Saint Elisabeth Cathedral, Michael Chapel, the Musical Fountain, Holy Virgin Statue; lodging in the Kosice area;
DAY 11: breakfast; travel to Budapest; lodging in the Budapest area;
DAY 12: breakfast; travel to the airport for the return flight.
