ROUND TRIP NORTHERN ITALY SPAIN PORTUGAL FOR FOREIGNERS WILLING TO EXPLORE EUROPE BY BUS
ITINERARY:
DAY 1: picking up tourists from the airport; lodging in Venice;
DAY 2: breakfast; travel to Verona, en route visit to Padua – Saint Anthony Church and Saint Justine Church; lodging in Verona area;
DAY 3: breakfast; visit to Verona: downtown area – Roman Arenas, Juliet House and Balcony; further on visit to Milan: The Dome, Scala and Vittorio Emmanuelle Galleries; travel to Cannes, optionally en route visit to Grasse (the perfume capital); lodging in the Cannes area;
DAY 4: breakfast; further on we resume our travel toward Spain through the French Riviera; lodging in the Barcelona area;
DAY 5: breakfast; visit to Barcelona; Sagrada Familia, The Cathedral, Ramblas, Columbus Monument, Mila House, Royal Palace, lodging in the Barcelona area;
DAY 6: breakfast; visit to Montserrat; travel to Alicante with a brief stopover in Valencia (the third city in Spain by size and at the same time the originating place of ‘paella’; lodging in the Alicante area;
DAY 7: breakfast; visit to Alicante: historical centre, Spanish Square; further on we resume our travel to Malaga, en route visit to Granada: downtown area, the Cathedral with the renown Capilla Real and Alhambra Palace – the most important Islamic art monument in Spain, the residence of the Moor Sovereigns and later on of the Catholic Kings; inside the palace we’ll admire the Alcazaba Fortress, the Nasrid Palace, Generalife Palace and the Gardens; brief stopover in downtown Malaga; lodging in the Malaga area;
DAY 8: breakfast; free time for beach and swimming; lodging in the Malaga area;
DAY 9: breakfast; travel to Huelva, en route brief stopover in Gibraltar (Hercules Rock, the little Britain on the Spanish shore – where we can admire the macaque monkeys colonies); further on we visit Seville, the fourth city by size in Spain: the Cathedral (the third in the world by size) and the Alcazar Palace; lodging in the Huelva area;
DAY 10: breakfast; travel to Lisbon where we’ll visit: Jeronimos Monastery, Trade Square and the Oceanarium – one of the greatest aquaria in the world (conveyance to the touristic objectives by public transport); lodging in the Lisbon area;
DAY 11: breakfast; travel to Madrid, en route visit to Fatima, lodging in the Madrid area;
DAY 12: breakfast; visit to Madrid: Royal Palace, El Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor, Plaza di Spagna, Cervantes Monument and the Cathedral; within the available time frame we travel to El Escorial to visit the Escorial Monastery (the historic residence of the Spanish King Philip II); lodging in the Madrid area;
DAY 13: breakfast; travel to France with a brief stopover in Zaragoza to visit Saint Maria del Pilar Church and La Seo del Salvador Cathedral; lodging in the Girona area;
DAY 14: breakfast; travel to Monaco, lodging in the area; within the available time frame brief stopover in downtown Cannes (Festival Palace, Artists Alley);
DAY 15: breakfast; visit to Monaco: Princely Palace, the Gardens, the Cathedral, the Aquarium and the Napoleon Museum; travel to Venice for lodging in that area;
DAY 16: breakfast; visit to Venice – San Marco Square, Palace of the Doges, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, Canal Grande; transfer to the airport for the return flight.
